TOday we meet with her oncologist to go over her diagnosis and treatment.
She is going to have further tests done to make sure and see if it's somewhere else. A pet scan, a neck and chest ct scan, brain ct, bone marrow biopsy, until those tests come back they can't say for sure her stage. If no other spots she is stage 1e.
Her ct scan from before showed no lymph nodes present around the mass and not in the lower lung. Also no lessions on the bones. The mass is 5 inches but is not obstructing the bowel. Free flowing fluid.
Her diagnosis is that she has b cell lymphoma. Dlbcbl. At about 60% aggressive.
She is getting bone marrow biopsy today. And full bloodwork. Also might have ct scans done today as well.
Next week will be pet scan. And heart echo and putting in port.
Treatment will be 6 cycles of chemotherapy each 21 days long. Receiving chemo drugs on day 1 and then the other 20 days being recovery.
She meets with doctor in about 10 days to go over results of all further tests and start chemotherapy.
Doctor seemed very optimistic.
